Chief Industries is pleased to be able to announce the winners of the 2022 Chief Foundation, Inc. Scholarship and the 2022 Valley Vending Scholarship. Since 2012, the Chief Foundation, Inc. Scholarship has provided financial assistance to a graduating high school senior whose parent/legal guardian works full time for Chief Industries. The scholarship is a financial tool toward college completion; the student must have the motivation and work ethic to successfully complete a post-secondary education. This is a $30,000.00 scholarship that is issued for $3,750.00 per semester for up to eight semesters.
Grace Jackson has been selected as the winner of the 2022 Chief Foundation, Inc. Scholarship. Grace attends Kankakee Valley High School in Wheatfield, Indiana. Her dad, Ryan Jackson, is the health and safety coordinator at the Chief Buildings plant in Rensselaer, Indiana. Grace plans to attend Ball State University to pursue a degree in atmospheric sciences. She plans to one day have a career in meteorology and climatology.
Grace will graduate high school with 18 college credits. Her teachers describe her as a hard-working, self-reliant student with a kind and calming nature. Grace exemplifies the type of student that The Chief Foundation Scholarship committee seeks for this annual award.
Valley Vending Services is a partner with Chief Industries since 2011 and awards a graduating high school senior a $1,000 college scholarship to attend a Nebraska institution of higher learning. The scholarship is awarded to the candidate who best exemplifies achievement and leadership.
